About Berrien County Sportsman's Club

The Berrien County Sportsman’s Club was established in 1934 and consists of 95 acres of land located right on the St. Joseph River.

We have approximately 400 club members. Membership costs $160.00 per year for a Family Membership that allows the members to use all of the club facilities. This includes archery, muzzle loader, pistol, rifle, skeet and voice activated trap ranges. Trout and salmon fishing on one of the top trout streams in the nation and camping in our 25 site campground. In the winter we simply move indoors where we shoot archery, pistols and junior rifles. In addition to this, we also work with the Michigan DNR to raise 38,000 Chinook salmon and 24,000 Steelhead trout in our rearing ponds for release into the river each spring. This results in a very high return rate of these fish to the release site each year.

400 Members Strong and Growing

The Club is affiliated with Michigan Bow Hunters, MUCC, and the NRA. We teach the Michigan DNR Hunter Safety, Michigan DNR Safe Boating, Personal Protection, and CCW classes. Also Boy Scouts of America, Pheasants Forever, Michigan Trophy Toms, Michigan Steelheaders, the Marines Toys for Tots, Schutzhund dog obedience and many more.
